Go Mortgage, LLC recognizes our privacy obligations to you and is committed that information we keep about you is secure and confidential. We are required by the Federal Financial Privacy Law to inform you of:

  • What “nonpublic personal information” we collect
  • With whom we share “nonpublic personal information”
  • How we safeguard your information

How We Collect Your Personal Information

In the course of providing our services to you (the “Services”), we collect and maintain nonpublic personal information about you that is provided to us by you or obtained by us from third parties with your authorization from the following sources:

  • What you told us during in-person or telephone interviews about financial products, including your name, address, telephone and social security numbers
  • What you filled out or discussed with our mortgage employees during a mortgage application process, including your housing information, salary and employment details, creditors’ names and addresses. Information may also be obtained from one or more Consumer Reporting Agencies if a credit report is authorized and used for loan and/or financial verification purposes
  • Data from any documents, financial statements, bank records, or employment materials that you provide to us and from creditors that we contact on your behalf with your authorization
  • Data that you enter into our interactive Internet forms and programs
  • Information contained in emails, letters and other written correspondence from you
  • Information that you verbally share with us on the phone or in person
  • Information about your interactions with our websites or applications, such as the pages or content you view, your searches, your requests, and other actions on our interactive sites
  • We automatically collect log data and device information when you access and use our websites and applications, even if you have not applied for a loan or logged in. That information includes, among other things: details about how you’ve used our sites (including if you clicked on links to third party applications), IP address, access dates and times, hardware and software information, device information, device event information, unique identifiers, crash data, cookie data, and the pages you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using our websites and applications
  • We use cookies and other similar technologies when you use our sites and applications or engage with our email communications. We may collect certain information by automated means using technologies such as cookies, browser analysis tools, server logs, and mobile identifiers. In many cases the information we collect using cookies and other tools is only used in a non-identifiable manner without reference to Personal Information. For example, we may use information we collect to better understand website traffic patterns and to optimize our website experience. In some cases, we associate the information we collect using cookies and other technology with your personal information. (You can disable cookies, limit the types of cookies you allow, or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please refer to guidance provided by your individual web browser if you’d like help in managing your cookie preferences.) 
  • When you use certain features of our sites and applications, we may collect information about your precise or approximate location as determined through data such as your IP address or mobile device’s GPS to offer you an improved user experience. 

With Whom We Share Your Personal Information

For both current and former consumers and/or customers, we do not share your personal information with any person or company except as required or permitted by law. 

If you specifically request that we process mortgage loans and/or financial products:

  1. We disclose some of this data to third parties such as credit reporting agencies, regulators and loan investors. We only work with parties that agree to keep the information confidential and not use it for any other purpose.
  2. The information shared with other entities is limited to that which is needed to process mortgage documents, loans, refinances or other offered financial products requested by you. Permitted disclosures may include providing information in limited circumstances to unrelated third parties who need to know that information to assist us in providing services to you.  Any information shared is done pursuant to a contractual agreement with the other party which requires the third party to maintain confidentiality of the information.
  3. Upon requesting an application or other mortgage or financial services product from us, we may share pertinent information with funding sources for the purposes of securing loans, other funding, reporting or other financial verification purposes. These sources include, but are not limited to, private banks, lending or financial services institutions and may include other government entities or lenders.
  4. We may share certain de-identified or aggregate data that is based on or derived from your personal information, for research, reporting or other permitted purposes, including tracking information obtained from our Internet site to assess our website’s usefulness. However, all personally identifiable information about you is removed before any such aggregate information is shared.
  5. We may share your information and personal data with affiliate companies for purposes of marketing, analytics and consideration of ancillary services.

Safeguarding Your Personal Information

We retain records generally for a minimum of five years relating to the financial services that we provide to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards such as file encryption, password protection, and secure network transmissions to secure and guard your information. Physical access to files containing personal information is restricted and controlled.

We strive to safeguard your data and do so by:

  • setting policies and procedures for carefully handling your information
  • limiting employee access to sensitive information
  • protecting against unauthorized access to customer data using data encryption, authentication, and virus detection technology
  • requiring service providers who do business with Go Mortgage to comply with privacy laws
  • Our website makes use of “cookie” technology to measure site activity. A cookie is an element of data that a web site can send to your browser, which may then store the cookie on your hard drive.
  • When you visit the Go Mortgage web site, we may collect and store information about your visit on an anonymous, aggregate basis. We use this information only to measure site activity and to develop ideas for improving our sites. This information may include:
  • time and length of your visit
  • web pages you looked at on our sites
  • web site you visited just before coming to ours
  • name of your Internet service provider

Your Rights Regarding the Use of Your Personal Information


You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When we send promotional communication to a user, the user can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional e-mail. Please note that, notwithstanding the preferences you indicate by unsubscribing to marketing communications, we may continue to send you administrative emails, which may include, for example, important updates to our privacy policies or important information regarding your account or orders you have placed.

Links to Other Websites and Applications

We may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us when you use the Services. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of any third-party websites accessed by you, including third-party websites accessed by selecting a link in connection with your use of the Services. To the extent that you access or use any other website or application, whether in connection with your use of the Services, the privacy policy of that other website or application will apply to your access or use of that website or application. We encourage users to read the privacy statements of other websites and applications before proceeding to use them.

Changes to Our Privacy Policies

We reserve the right to change our privacy policies at any time. We will notify you of significant changes to such policies by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a conspicuous notice on our website.  However, we may not provide notifications regarding nonmaterial changes and simple clarifications, and any such nonmaterial changes or simple clarifications will take effect immediately. Please periodically check our website and our privacy statements for updates.

Retention of Personal Information

When you use the Services, we will maintain your personal information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information, except as may be required under applicable law or to protect our rights.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13 or allow anyone under the age of 13 to submit personal information. If we learn that we have gathered personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian, we will delete that information as soon as possible. California Privacy Rights. California law permits Consumers who are California residents to:

  • Third party sharing for their direct marketing: Obtain a list of third parties to whom we have disclosed their personal information (if any) for the direct marketing purposes of those third parties, as well as the type of personal information disclosed to those third parties. This request may be made once a year and is free of charge. Please note that Go Mortgage does not share personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without your prior consent. Accordingly, you can prevent disclosure of your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes by withholding consent.
  • Access to personal information. To obtain a report of the specific pieces and categories of personal information that Go Mortgage has collected about the you, the categories of sources for that information, the business or commercial purposes for collecting the information, the categories of third parties with which the information was shared, and to request the deletion of that information under certain circumstances.

As a part of this process, government identification may be required. Consistent with California law, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. To designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, you must provide a valid power of attorney, the requester’s valid government issued identification, and the authorized agent’s valid government issued identification.  Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year, and we are not required to respond to requests made by means other than through this email address.

No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do allow third parties to collect personal information through our sites as permitted by law.  

Text Messaging to Third Parties

Text messaging opt-in is not shared with any third parties.

State Disclosures

In addition to your rights described below and in this notice, you may have other rights under state laws. We will comply with applicable state laws with respect to our information practices.

Important information for Ohio residents that apply for or obtain an insurance product for personal, family, or household purposes from an affiliate insurance agency.

We may collect personal information from sources other than the persons proposed for insurance coverage. We may also disclose that information, as well as other personal or privileged information subsequently collected, to third parties without your authorization to the extent disclosure is permitted by law. Ohio law provides a right to review and correct personal information that Go Mortgage collects about you. California and Vermont Customers have other protections under state law. If your primary mailing address is in California or Vermont, we will not share your credit or financial information that we collect except as permitted by law, including, for example, with your consent or to service your account. We will also not use your information for joint marketing purposes. We do not share customer information with third parties except as permitted by law.
